Roche-Bobois
Katherine reports the opening of a store on York Street in the Byward market which markets a line of home furnishings purportedly made of recycled fur. Roche-Bobois sells pillows made from lynx and beaver, which have been dyed such colours as blue or burgundy. Ironically, the manager of the store says that the use of such items "...gives some warmth, some life". Whose life? Certainly not those of the animals slaughtered for yet another frivolous venture.

A Cow At My Table
From Pam Mayhew: I’m sending you a copy of the poster I have made for the showing of “A Cow At My Table”, scheduled for Friday, October 1, World Vegetarian Day.
I believe Natalie is also prepping some posters to be given to people at the September meetup, for posting/distribution.

August Vegetarian Meetup

I was late for the vegan meetup and so I didn't get a picture. I figured out how to change my camera settings this time around so it's not yellow and fuzzy!
